The Candidate: Electrical Design Engineer
You will be positive and confident in your ability, and will have most of the following skills and experience: 

• 5+ Years in electrical design – single and three phase. 
• Experience with the full project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning

The Role: Principal Engineer

• Actively contribute to design projects, including leading design reviews, developing project plans and preparing specifications.

• Oversee the testing of new components, subassemblies and full systems.
• Lead compliance reviews and ensure all technical documentation is accurate and up to date.

The Candidate: Principal Engineer

The ideal candidate will consider themselves a proactive person who looks for solutions to problems, and you will have most of the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in product design in a role such as Senior Design Engineer, Process Engineer, Systems Engineer or Mechatronics Engineer.
• Qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in developing systems that combine mechanical, electrical and software elements

It’s 2 small businesses (circa £1m and £3m turnover) that make highly specialised equipment, and they’re looking for someone who can become part of their senior leadership teams and hold responsibility for all financial aspects of each company's strategy. With products exported globally, you will investigate, summarise, report on, and make recommendations to improve the businesses. You will lead the finance teams (each with 1 FTE) and provide a high-quality service to all stakeholders.

This would be a significant step forward for an experienced accountant looking to contribute to shaping a business's future strategy. Your time will be split between their two offices, so you’ll ideally live in or around the North Pennines.

You will report to both MDs and be responsible for:

• Ensuring company financial systems are robust and compliant, and supporting future business growth.
• Work closely with the Senior Management Team to strategise, analyse and manage, ensuring finance is involved in key business decisions.

They are looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to the team. Here you’ll be using CATIA, though experience with any 3D CAD package is fine, and you’ll be creating 3D models, detailed component drawings, as well as assembly drawings.

You will have strong mechanical intuition, and industrial design capability, allowing you to lead concept development. You will need to be comfortable talking to customers, getting to grips with their design projects.
