The company make scientific equipment used for material testing. You’ll be working alongside the sales team to assist them with creating quotations for bespoke laboratory equipment or full lab fitouts. With support from the engineering team, you will be modelling laboratory layouts, and creating initial sketches to get quotes from suppliers quickly. You will get full training on how to use 3D CAD, giving you additional skills to take forward in your career.
We need someone open and happy talking to people. You'll attend project handover meetings to understand what the customer needs and discuss the detailed aspects of a project. Then you will produce technical quotations for instruments, installations, and laboratory layouts. You’ll be surrounded by a lovely team, who will support and help you as and when you need it. The Candidate: Laboratory Quotations Engineer
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience in industry, with familiarity of laboratories.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
• An interest in engineering and how things are put together.
• Solution-focused mindset and able to work with accuracy.
