Are you looking for that first step into industry? If you’ve been using Solidworks, Inventor or CATIA to name some, and you are the kind of person who likes solving problems and making products better, then I’d love to tell you more about this role.
Here you’ll be part of the team approving ECNs, and it’ll be you who makes the improvements on Solidworks and sees the engineering change process through to conclusion. Requests can come from internal stakeholders as well as customers: ultimately if something just isn’t working, you’ll be able to find and implement a solution.
This will also involve working closely with the manufacturing team and involve some prototyping and testing of the potential solutions. With DfM and DfA in mind for the changes being introduced.
We need someone who is open and happy talking to people. With ECRs coming from all different avenues, you’ll need to be comfortable telling people when you’ll be able to complete their request: managing expectations will be key!
In terms of the products, it is electro-mechanical equipment used in scientific research. It’s truly an exciting time to be joining, with a lot of positive change happening. They’re keen for someone coming into this role to have a pathway of progression in the medium term, with different pathways available.
You’ll be part of a lovely engineering team, who will be there to support and help you as and when you need it. If you want to find out more, please get in touch with Ashlea Harland.
